Cats Eating Corn

Well, I never knew cats had a corn fetish... although, I wonder if they really like the corn, or are just going for the butter that's on it. I don't know. But I do know that after watching these videos I want some corn on the cob. YUM. Please excuse me, I need to pop over to the grocery store now! But here are some videos for you to watch while I'm gone:

Thats amazing. I have never seen a cat eat corn. Did you try giving yours corn to see if they like it too?

here's something funny... my sis once had a cat that we would give a green olive with the pimento in the middle to. We'd set the olive on the floor and the cat would go nuts, trying to bite it, but it couldn't. It would keep trying to bite it, never sinking its teeth into it. She would be growling at it. It was having some psychological effect on her like catnip would. I can't put it into words, but she'd do that for hours.

I still haven't gotten around to giving my kitties corn. But I'm guessing with 9 of them, someone will like it! I wonder if YOU will like it, Daisy?

Lady Banana- oh, YES on the yogurt... while I don't give mine flavored stuff, I have several that adore yogurt and get a tablespoon or so at least once a week. Henry in particular is a huge yogurt fan.

Awannabe - that olive story is funny. And interestingly enough, a friend who had visited my blog left me a phone message mentioning these cat eating corn videos, and then she went on to say that one of her cats loved olives! She didn't say if it was green or black olives though...

We had a cat on the farm that would eat fresh popped popcorn. There's clearly something in the corn family in general that cats are nuts for!

Our cat Toffee is the corn-muncher on the second clip. She loves it plain (without butter or salt). I have a corn-off-the-cob aversion, so I don't know if Toffee loves corn in all forms or not. I think she gets a kick out of eating it so methodically.

well chinese steamed corns don't have butter on it, it's just simply steamed, so I would say that cat loves the corn not the butter on it
