Moon Over New Mexico

Since the moon was eclipsing Tuesday morning, I was outside taking photos. I wanted to share some of them with you, from before it eclipsed. I know these are poorly focused, but they have a certain atmosphere to them that I find very appealing, as the moon plays peek-a-boo with the clouds.

Those photos are very beautiful, and haunting, too. I especially like the one with the trees.

Yes, I like the first one best also. LB, funny you mention it being like the cover of a scary book, because I kept thinking that as well, when I was editing that photo.

Ahh, anna, another who likes the first photo best. I had such fun taking these, too. They would have come out much better if I'd had a tripod. As it was, I was lying down among the weeds in the back yard, trying to hold the camera as still as possible. At one point I just started giggling to myself, hoping none of the neighbors could hear me. It was a fun night.
