Yesterday evening, as I was sitting outside, near the tall weeds, it suddenly darkened, and the wind picked up, as a storm approached. I ran in and got my camera, and snapped this photo before the rain began.
That is an awesome picture - I'm assuming it's a flash that lit up the grasses in the foreground? I love the color of the sky. What kind of camera do you have?
Hi everyone - thanks for the comments, glad you enjoyed the photo!
UPC- Yes, I used the flash, so that's why the foreground is lit up. And the sky I actually lightened a bit with photo editing. I've got a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ15. It's a bit outdated now, only 4 megapixels, but I still have a lot of fun with it. It is also quite large for a digital camera, which is one reason I chose this model, as I have large hands and would not be happy using one of the more compact cameras.
Oh, and for my cat loving visitors, even thought there are no cats visible in the photo, there WERE cats sitting next to me enjoying the evening when I took the photo. And the cats love skulking through that long grass, too, although I have to brush a lot of grass seeds from their fur. I have a vague goal to cut the grass next year. We'll see how that turns out...
