Light Through The Curtain
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, if it's a holiday you celebrate. I ignored it, other than using some of my vacation time to give myself the night off from work on Christmas Eve.
I took the photo above months ago, but when I looked at it tonight, it seemed an appropriate image for this day. It reminds me of a stained glass window, with it's rich colors. I find it also has a hopeful feeling to it, with the light illuminating even the darker colors. With the gloomy financial situation affecting so many on the planet these days, it is good to keep in mind that the light is still there for us, just beyond the curtain. Brighter days shall shine upon us again.

A Frosty Morning
When I left work the other morning, I noticed how beautiful the mountains were, with the fresh snow that had fallen. So I went home and got my camera to take a few photos. Even the dead weeds in my driveway looked magical with their icy frosting:
And here's how the mountains looked:

Gamma Lays An Egg!
Imagine my surprise this morning when I discovered that my cat Gamma layed an egg during the night. It's a Thanksgiving miracle. She seems rather surprised by this event herself:
Gamma is not willing to lay on her egg, to keep it warm, choosing instead to just lay next to it. The egg seems content enough with this arrangement.

Sights I Saw Today
I took a drive up north to Pagosa Springs again today. I like that area a lot. Below are a couple of sights that caught my attention enough for me to pull over and snap some photos. I also saw a group of wild turkeys crossing a road in the woods, but I wasn't able to get a good photo of them. I think they were extra shy, with Thanksgiving being so close! It was a beautiful day for a drive.

Disturbing thought, but just in case McCain somehow manages to get elected, here is a back-up plan:

Beautiful Fall Day
Today was a glorious fall day here, as you can see from this photo taken looking down my street.
Some of the cats came for a walk with me. Henry blended in well with the fall leaves.
Tobias took up position on my neighbor's trailer bed.
But Rexie was the star of the day, climbing up onto a nearby latilla fence and striking many charming poses.
Rexie summed it all up perfectly:

Farewell to Power
I offer this for those who may be interested: A view of what is happening now on Planet Earth, from the perspective of one who is not currently embodied here, Adamus Saint-Germain. He speaks of the fall of power all across our world, and of great changes to come. This can bring up fear, as we have certainly seen during the current financial upheavals, but he also assures us there is much good news that we can look forward to, as the old falls away and creates space for the new to enter. Adamus Saint-Germain is channeled through Geoffrey Hoppe of the Crimson Circle.

Llama Boy #1
While I drew this in a pleasant and relaxed mood, just a couple of days ago, when I showed it to a friend she said it looked freaked out, like a 'deer in the headlights'. Odd... is it showing some energy I am holding below the surface? I don't know. It looks sad, or worried, to me now. There will be more 'Llama Boy' drawings coming later... perhaps they will look more at peace. (I say, as I take a deep, soothing, clearing breath... breath... breath...)

An Open Heart In Italy
There is a woman in Italy, named Marilyn Thomas, who I've been aware of for some time now, because we both visit the same online discussion board. I've known that she does a lot of good work taking in abandoned and abused dogs. But it wasn't until I saw this video she just put together that I really understood the full extent of the wonderful things she is doing with all these animals. What love and joy she is bringing into this world! If you would like to help Marilyn continue this, by sponsoring one of her animals, or just making a one time donation, you can write to her for details, at: mmhobr@tin.it But first, watch this video, and feel your heart open:

Cat House On The Kings (aka 'Cat Heaven')
I wanted to share this video about a wonderful cat santuary in California, called Cat House On The Kings. I'm so glad this place exists! Please watch this video, and if you want to learn more, or give them a donation to support the work they're doing, you can visit their website, by clicking HERE.

Cats For Change!
Well, like millions of others, I watched the presidential debates on TV tonight. I'm not very political, so I'm not going to be writing about the election. But one of my nine cats, Gracie, was watching the debates with me, sitting in my lap, and she came to some strong opinions about who she thinks should be elected as the next president of the United States.

Lovely Llamas!
While driving around near Pagosa Springs, Colorado, I passed a field of llamas and stopped to say hello to them. The one above, who was very friendly, was my favorite. Click on the photos to see the image full size- it makes me happy just looking into that face! Looking at this llama in person, I almost felt as if I'd been transported to some wonderful otherworldly place. I was utterly enchanted.
I believe this llama, and the others, are from Sharp Llamas. I was too entranced by the llamas to look for a name, but from searching after I got back home again, that seems correct.
I also spotted this sweet little horse in a field near the llamas.
