I wanted to share this video about a wonderful cat santuary in California, called Cat House On The Kings. I'm so glad this place exists! Please watch this video, and if you want to learn more, or give them a donation to support the work they're doing, you can visit their website, by clicking HERE.

Well, like millions of others, I watched the presidential debates on TV tonight. I'm not very political, so I'm not going to be writing about the election. But one of my nine cats, Gracie, was watching the debates with me, sitting in my lap, and she came to some strong opinions about who she thinks should be elected as the next president of the United States.

While driving around near Pagosa Springs, Colorado, I passed a field of llamas and stopped to say hello to them. The one above, who was very friendly, was my favorite. Click on the photos to see the image full size- it makes me happy just looking into that face! Looking at this llama in person, I almost felt as if I'd been transported to some wonderful otherworldly place. I was utterly enchanted.
I believe this llama, and the others, are from Sharp Llamas. I was too entranced by the llamas to look for a name, but from searching after I got back home again, that seems correct.
I also spotted this sweet little horse in a field near the llamas.

Once again this year, tied in with the annual Walkathon fundraiser event, I am asking for donations here on my blog to help support the DreamTree Project in Taos, NM. Last year I raised $360 for DreamTree, and I hope to raise even more this year. (C'mon, EntreCard droppers- drop a few bucks to help the kids while you are here!)
All donations will go towards the ongoing operation of DreamTree Project's transitional living center for homeless youth, ages 16 - 14, where they can live for up to 2 years, as well as towards the opening of a short term emergency youth shelter for youth in crisis, ages 13 - 17. To learn more about DreamTree Project in general, click HERE. To learn more specifically about the annual Walkathon which is coming up on September 13th, click HERE. You can look into some of the faces of the wonderful young people who have called DreamTree 'home' in the past by clicking HERE.
Click on the 'ChipIn' button on the box above to make your donation. And THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your support.
You can see some clips from previous DreamTree Project Walkathons in the little videos below.
